1. Richard n Wonderland

Shakespeare’s best-kept secret - Richard II - is showing in Brighton this May.

Banned by Elizabeth I - this beautiful play has been a rare breed over the centuries!

Played by the nomadic troupe Theatre of Now, this work is created using a delicate and intimate theatrical structure called Fooling, devised by the Director and world famous fool Jonathan Kay. Using just their imaginations to create costume, props and set; with several performers playing parts at the same time, the characters’ hidden depths and changing moods are enchantingly revealed.

“FASCINATING! I liked it much more than I thought I would and even found it disturbing in parts – which is odd as you were just a bunch of fools in broad daylight! WAS F***ING AMAZING!” - Julie Burchill

“Mesmerising, like windows into layers of the soul” - Mike Sells

    Showing at Studio Wonderland, 26 Arundel Place, Brighton BN2 1GD on 18th, 19th and 20th May 2011.  Tickets £10.

Shows start at 7.30pm (doors 7pm). No late admittance.
